I specialise in lifestyle, wedding and event photography.
I am especially skilled at producing images which depict faith groups, charities’ work and community life in all their richness and variety.
I work on commissions from publishers for jacket photographs, and book illustrations; as well as images for client websites and promotional materials.
In addition to my photographic skills, my clients can make use of my training in project management, event planning, coaching and my creative thinking skills.
I am very familiar with planning traditional and contemporary church services, and have links with many religious communities, but I am equally at home in a secular environment.
I am very comfortable working within the LGBT community and delighted to support all couples and families, whatever the special occasion.
I work within an ethical business framework. My aim is to deliver high quality photography and photographic products without ripping off my customers or pressuring them with a ‘hard sell’.
Customers are not commodities and I am not a money-making machine.
I treat all my clients with respect and pride myself on helping them to navigate the complexities of the photographic world and to explore the range of options open to them. I am clear about my pricing structure - which I discuss with each client individually - and there are no hidden costs.
I started photographing weddings because I was asked to. I continue because I continue to be asked, and because I enjoy it.
I believe I have the technical know-how to take fabulous formal shots – if that’s what’s required. I know how to put people at ease – and I think that the photographer’s personality has a lot to do with achieving good results. I know how to pose clients and help them to look their best.
But what I also bring to the equation is a tailored and very personalised service. No two weddings I do are the same. No two couples are the same - so why should the photographic approach used be the same? I take time getting to know the couple, finding out what they want and helping to deliver their vision.
As well as classic wedding photography I also specialise in documentary or reportage style photography which requires capturing real moments as they happen; helping you remember all the spontaneous things that happen in the blink of an eye on that very special day.
